Habitat’s mission statement:
“Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.”
Habitat for Humanity of Wood County builds decent and affordable homes as well as repairs homes for lower income families, couples and individuals in Wood County. All applicants must be income eligible and meet selection criteria. We are currently building 2-3 homes per year and completing 3-4 home repair projects per year.
HFHWC is nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization who seeks to eliminate poverty housing in Wood County by building, rehabbing and repairing homes so that they are safe, affordable and decent dwellings. We abide by all Fair Housing laws and have an open-door policy such that all who desire to be a part of our program are welcome, regardless of religious preference or background, whether as an applicant to our programs, or a volunteer, or staff.
