Come Build With Us!
Habitat for Humanity of Wood County
brings people together
to build homes, community and hope.
Will you help make Wood County a community where everyone has a decent place to live?
- Each Habitat for Humanity of Wood County Partner Family will invest 500 hours of sweat equity and build more homes in the future through paying a 0% interest, $75,000 mortgage over 20 years. The mortgage payments from 26 families, living in new homes built with Habitat for Humanity of Wood County, are currently being reinvested to fund the affordable housing needs of future Partner Families from our community.
- Because of your donations, volunteerism and in-kind support, James, Tiffany and their sons, Conner and C.J., have moved from a North Baltimore rental home with rotting floors, no insulation and a heating system that wasn't working to a safe, decent and affordable home. The hard work and dedicated support of donors and volunteers like you is what makes it possible to change lives!
What are some little and big ways you can support the mission of Habitat?
- Check out the progress on the homes we are building in North Baltimore, as well as our ReStore beginnings, on our Facebook page and give us an early gift of “liking” us while you are there! https://www.facebook.com/habitatwoodcounty
- You can also search for Christmas gifts through and choose Habitat for Humanity of Wood County as your favorite charity through:http://www.goodsearch.com We received a check for $128 last month because you supported us in this way!
- Do you have new or gently used tools to donate for building? Please contact: info@wchabitat.org
- Volunteers are hungry! Can you feed us? If you would like to prepare and donate lunches for volunteers please contact: volunteer@wchabitat.org
- The ReStore, which enables home building through the sale of new, used and surplus donated goods, is under renovation. We are accepting drop off donations the first Saturday of every month from 9am-10am. Please bring your donations to the ReStore warehouse at 425 Napoleon Rd. in Bowling Green. Pick ups are not available at this time, unless you have a box truck you may want to give us? (That is a need also!) Keep checking back for information on the ReStore grand opening in the upcoming months.
- Monetary donations build homes. Please remember Habitat for Humanity of Wood County when making 2011 year end charitable contributions and within your estate planning.
Thank you for being a part of the positive change in our community with Habitat for Humanity of Wood County. Contact us today at (419) 353-5430 or via info@wchabitat.org to donate, volunteer or seek out resources for affordable housing.
